The zombie apocalypse is a reality! Murphy ( Keith Allan ) was bitten by the undead. However, with the help of an experimental antidote, he was prevented from completely transforming. This makes him the first hybrid between human and zombie, which means he also has some special abilities.

Since Murphy is believed to be the only survivor of such an incident, he becomes a hope for all of humanity as his blood could be used to create a better vaccine. A group of survivors tries to take him across the USA to a research laboratory. But Murphy manages to escape and gradually manages to build his own army of zombie-human hybrids, which now spreads fear and terror throughout the country, worse than the zombies themselves...
